Focus Area

Brain & Mental Health

An integrative approach to the mind, where psychology, engineering, and medicine meet patient-centered care.
Overview

The whole person, not just the signal

Cody’s work begins and ends with people. His undergraduate foundation in psychology at CU Boulder gave him a lasting focus on the mind, behavior, and mental health, a lens he carries into every piece of engineering and every clinical encounter.

The result is an integrative approach to brain and mental health: rigorous enough to build real technology, human enough to keep the patient at the center.

The Approach

Rigor and compassion, together

Three commitments shape how Cody works on brain and mental health.

Integrative science

Psychology, biomedical engineering, and medicine brought together around brain health.

Patient-centered care

Bedside and community experience keep the human being at the center of the work.

Mental-health advocacy

Co-designed mindfulness programs for college students and psychiatric patients.

The Human Side

Improving lives through brain-health innovation

Cody embodies a rare blend of scientific rigor and clinical compassion. Whether he is decoding an EEG signal, running an rTMS session, or volunteering at a free clinic, the goal is the same: to improve lives through better brain and mental health.
